DDO

Looking for a couple people to try the DDO 10 day free trial with. If a couple people can DL this tonight or friday, we can group up for some free co-op gameplay that will stretch across 2 weekends. I went ahead and installed it and have played one quest, beyond the tutorial, and it wasn't half bad. There are puzzles, traps and crap in the dungeons and supposedly lots and lots of unique dungeons. Team size can be up to 6. From what I've read, 3 or 4 will get you through most content, but soloing is bad unless you use the newish game mechanic they put in place where you can apparently hire NPCs. I'd prefer to team up with some people on teamspeak and not zerg through shit like the world is ending tomorrow. The character creation options seem nice. You can choose from Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, or Wizard. And within each class you can further specialize. Any takers for some free co-op gaming, all new content, a few beers, and possibly fun? You don't have to sign up to DL the client. The client is 2 gigs so start your DL now, even if you are on the fence so at least you have the option: http://trial.ddo.com/turbine_download2.html

I'll try it. Get on TS when you play so I know when you are on.
On mac so I have to wait to get home, log into boot camp and install the downloader, sucks would be easier if I can download the whole package as exe then copy it to windows.

Cool, hopefully we can get 1 or 2 more and be all set. I used a 3rd hand e-mail address for my 1st registration so that I can reset my 10 days if/when we start as a group. btw, the link to get your trial key is here: http://trial.ddo.com/They don't ask for credit card info or anything like that which is nice.

I'll download it just in case, but Sunday is likely out for me and part of Saturday so no promises.

I played it a long time ago when it was still in beta. The "active blocking" mechanic was about the only thing it had going for it at the time.

I don't know, they're site sucks in describing shit, I'm going in with the assumption they do so we should decide on a race before hand or else it will defeat the purpose.
