And when something stops working there is no permanent fix.

I have a 5 year old mac, that continues to ask me for a USB storage device I no longer have. Can't save, write, and read without being asked about the drive.

"Please insert the Drive: "Copy-Cat"
[I think that will be my new slogan"

LOL

My stomach hurts!

i think your slogan should be "im a dumbass and dont know how to unmount a drive correctly"

"I applaud your enthusiasm, but UNSCREW yourself"
I don't know of any other way to unmount a drive on mac. I usually just take the drive and trash it. Is there an optimal way to unmount it? now that I don't have it anymore, how do I unmount it?

Usually when I unmount I make sure it's all been released so the bed sheets stay clean and then I make her get me a sandwich, then Family Guy.

Sorry, wrong OS. I am using OS9.1, go ahead and poke fun all you want. That is the only OS that works on the only program I run on the MAC.
Tried everything except reinstalling because I don't have the disk. Didn't mean to turn this THREAD into a technical thread.

Hrm... pretty much all I've been reading on the forums today points to one conclusion... that you're a fucking idiot and no one here likes you.

What's wrong with Classic mode?

Apart from the obvious thing that Macs prior to OS X sucked and running Classic just prolongs the agony.
