Season One patch news

The "Season One" patch is live.  Lots of stuff including off-duty uniforms so you can dress like a Jedi, new skills, respecs and a bunch of items in the Monopoly Money shop including a k-ugly new Federation ship.  Also some perks for those suckers who bought the lifetime sub.  In gameplay terms the big change for pew-pew fans is the removal of global cooldown on cannon, meaning Escorts are now Broadsword Scrappers in spaaaaaace.

Players who tested on the test server get a special - and actually awesome - Borg tribble pet.  Unless they are complete idiots.

The game is currently 33% off on Steam.

It is.  Shame I didn't get one.  I'm sure MO will be around soon to taunt me with his, like he taunts me with his Champions lifetime Mirror Universe outfits.

In other news, some game magazine was giving away codes to get the TOS uniforms that were previously exclusive to people who bought the Digital Deluxe Edition.  I'm sure it won't be long before I'll be able to get hold of the Mirror Universe stuff after all.

Yay for microtransactions/Down with microtransactions.  Delete as applicable.
