beleive its that simple though.  There has to be some negative as to why the developers didnt want this capacity out of the box unless its a marketing ploy.They are going to release Notepad as one

ot;mod" the game with notepad, but require you to use a notpad plug-in that only the development team is licensed to use.





Wow the SlipperySan sure does have a lot of useful tools in the works on his site.

Well if it was geniune, thanks.  The utilities really need to be updated and improved before they become really useful.



I am not happy with the speed of the server query so I don't think I will continue working on a chat lobby.  It really needs a better language than VB6 sad

The 'they' in that comment was meant to be VUG/Irrational in reference to the lack of any definite info on modding tools.

My tentative idea is to abuse Unreal's builtin IRC client for a lobby.  The game could present a GUI interface that would let you create and join "rooms" (channels) and parse messages from game servers announcing when games were up etc.



UnrealScript is a nice language to work with.  Someone with your design skills would be the ideal person to write the frontend.At my most positive, I put it 75% of the
