Well, one of the best mappers of Swat3 has found another great idea for a mission.
I have a lot of great Ideas for maps, some worth a look, this one comes from some members of DnC, that I find bery intewesting. As my current porjects come to a close, I want to get some early feedback from users and hopefully get some preliminary tasks done before a full fledge project goes into effect.
I know some of you have COD4 MW installed; I was hoping some of you have or know someone who has done some work on creating modified maps, and have the COD4 mod tools installed.
I wanted to tackle this map from a different angle, in the RVS Island Estate map, I created all geometry by loading the map in the RVS map editor and using it as a reference. This method was not accurate enough for me, although most who have played the Swat3 Island Estate map "forgot they where playing Swat3".
What I want to do different is, load the COD4 WetWork map into WC as a reference by importing the map into MAYA to get an idea of the size of the boat and rooms.
The mod tools for COD4 MW has the capability of exporting Static meshes into .obj files for modification as well as Maya import/export plugins and workaround programs for importing them back into COD4. I am guessing that the bare boat is a prefabricated mesh similar to buildings that you can place anywhere in a custom map. With this assumption exporting the boat's static mesh into an .obj file is a possibilty to accurately depict the boat for custom development.
Here is what I need:
1. At least the multi-player boat exported out into an .obj file.
2. Textures, Textures and more Textures
3. any other static meshes, you have time to export to obj files.
I have started the map using videos and screenshots of actual COD4 game-play.
PLEASE POST COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
