I have some idea.  A neighboring Earl scouted my castle last week but the message said "attacking".  After duly shitting myself I used a card for improved defenses and one that dispatched knights on next attack, an attack that didn't come.   I then figured out it was just a scouting run so I sent one back at him and he got pantywadded up that it was an act of war.

Some Russian douche has been scouting my castles lately, though his scouts always die so I'm not sure what he's getting out of it. Anyhow, he just sends back badly translated taunts in reply when I warn him about scouting, so I called in the big guns and the faction membership paid off.   One tersely worded message about "resetting" his village from the Count and Dairyman was all it took.

It's not as well organized as it could be but it works.   Firclannus, so far.    Link
Not pictured are a recently added tailor shop and troubadour arbour.

Firclannock isn't much to speak of yet.  Just a lot of fishing docks and some farms.

I'm working on getting to 14 now. Having the second village is a marked improvement in honor gain. If I get attacked, I'm totally screwed though. I probably got too aggressive too quickly. I don't have the research level that I'd like to have for being able to resupply and reinforce my new town from my original village, so I'm gonna be limited to adding about 4 archers a day to my towers. And I was operating at 30k honor debt from taking it in the first place, so that limited my research ability too. I'm very much looking forward to getting into SOBleed for the added deterrent.

Organization is definitely not a goal in my villages. Wherever the buildings are supposed to be in order to get max benefit is where I put them. So everything is haphazardly clustered around either the granary, the stockpile, or the main village building.

Oh yeah,  it's all about the output numbers when placing shit.   What I mean is I could probably rearrange it for a little better output of more important resources.   As it is now I just slap on another farm or crafter as I need them and try to find the best numbers.

Perhaps... but seeing how your stuff is organized now, I don't see a whole lot of room for improvement. It looks like you've reached that "Well.. I guess I HAVE to put it here..." phase.

RAMPAGE!

Since Skayner is steamrolling every non-factioned village in sight near me, I went ahead and took the remaining open village* in Draperstown.   Originally I wanted to get a village in a different county or at least on the other end of Londonderry, but this move will keep the area around me from being totally dominated by that guy.   And now I'll have a source of pitch within walking distance.

I'll be sure to shoot some hot flaming goo towards Northy and Phoebes' villages once my sacks are loaded.

*not counting the day-old noob village.

You wouldn't know what to do with it.

Unless you spent enough research points in the Defenses tree...then you're all set.

Yep, I've research the Steel Ass Plates technology, so my defenses should be sufficient.

Phoenix's sPhoenctor is then saphe.

In other news, Eden captured, to be now known as Donnysbrook.   Unless someone can suggest another name to go along with Firclannus and Firclannock that sounds medievaly-Irishish and incorporates Furryclan, firclan or something similar.
