For more room in the power room, what about removing the inside wall? Since that hallway doesn't lead anywhere as it is that space could be used to give some breathing room.
What's the plan for the number of machines? I was thinking 4 macerators (overclocked some I imagine), induction furnace, extractor, compressor (overclocked), two recyclers, the mass fabricator and? Missing anything?
How about putting the teleport "mail tubes" in the sorting room? I'm not sure if this would work but there could just be two tubes and two chests. An intake always set to one frequency and an output that could be dialed to various locations. Longbow thinks that might be an issue with changing the frequencies but I guess I'll find out.
